Men, Where Are You?

As a friend, Christian, father, husband, pastor, and broken-sinner, I am utterly shocked at the weakness of men, especially those claiming to be Christian men. I have been one. You may be one. And so, envision me as a sincere friend like friends of mine, willing to lose everything to see you changed, with backbone conviction, staring you straight in the eye with full understanding of what has happened in your life, with an unwavering, deep, and slow voice saying, "You are weak."

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy. King Solomon in Proverbs 27:6

Imagine me asking you this face-to-face with deep concern for you and others: Where is your courage? Where is your conviction? Where is your resolve? Where is your stamina? Where is your steadfastness? Where is your faithfulness? Where is your integrity? Where is your morality? Where is your will to fight the good fight of faith? Where is your protection of those who are hurting, abused, and in need? Where is humility? Where is repentance? Where is trusting in and living by truth? Where is love? Where is friendship? Where is sacrifice? Where is hard work? Where are you?

Let these short posts sink in. Let them hit you like a punch in the gut. Let them take the wind out of your sails. Let them tear you down. Let them build you up. Let them redirect your life. Let them bring you face-to-face with reality. Let them bring you face-to-face with the ever so powerful One of the universe, the God-man, Christ Jesus.

Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. Jesus in Luke 5:31-32.

You are sick and Christ is calling you to repent. Here are the posts to come:

  1. Stop Hiding
  2. Stop Making Excuses
  3. Stop Trying to Change Manhood
  4. Stop Faking Christianity and Godliness
  5. Stop Being Churchy
  6. Become a Christian Man
  7. Live, Love, and Lead

A friend, Pastor Nate
